Awards

Each year, Lenape Lodge presents various awards at the annual banquet. Some awards can be earned, but most can only be nominated or selected for. Below you will find Information for all of the awards Lenape Lodge presents.

Arrowman Achievement Award

The Arrowman Achievement Award is the only award that can be earned by completing requirements. The purpose of the Arrowman Achievement Award is to promote new Arrowmen to become active in our Lodge. The award is a hawk dangle patch that has “Arrowman Achievement Award” written on it. The requirements for this award can be found by following the link below.

Silver Feather Award

The Silver Feather Award is presented annually to one youth, and one adult Arrowmen who have exhibited distinguished and outstanding service to the Lodge. This award is for those who have made great efforts to serve the Lodge, aid its growth, and have helped the Lodge achieve its goals. The award is selected each year by the Lodge Executive Committee, but people can be nominated to assist the LEC in selecting recipients. Service Chenille’s

Service Chenille’s are given out each year to recognize those Arrowmen that have given service to the Lodge. There are two types of Service Chenille’s: the 20 Hour Service Chenille, and the 100 Hour Service Chenille. The 20 Hour Service Chenille can only be earned once, but the 100 Hour Service Chenille may be earned as many times as you do 100 hours of service. Ceremonies Awards

Ceremonialist Award

Awarded to members of the ceremonies team who participate in at least three ceremonies in any role. You can only earn the patch once, and every subsequent time you earn the award, you receive a Brown Feather pin to add to the Patch.

Brown Feather Pin

The award is given to ceremonialists who have served for multiple years on the team. This award takes the form of a small brown pin in the shape of a feather.

Ceremonies Supporter Award

The Ceremonies Supporter Award is given to those who help the ceremonies team, and is at the discretion of the ceremonies chair, and is subject to approval of the ceremonies advisor. You may only earn the patch once, and every subsequent time you earn the award you receive a blue feather team. Usually those who help with the Vigil ceremony and breakfast, and those who help at ordeal weekends by being a drummer or helper.

Blue Feather Pin

The award is given to those who support the ceremonies team after they have already received the previously mentioned Ceremony Supporter Award. This award takes the form of a small blue pin in the shape of a feather.

Founders Award

The Founders Award is the highest national award that may be given on the local level. The award is given through selection by a committee composed of all active Founder’s Award recipients, youth and adults. The Committee Chair is the most recent awardee, preferably a youth. National limits the award to four recipients a year at max, based on membership numbers. The award is a certificate and a medal. There is no nomination or form for this award.

Elangomat Awards

Elangomat Dangle

The Elangomat Dangle is given to elangomats after their first time serving as an elangomat. Each subsequent ordeal spent in service as an elangomat will earn the arrowman a Red Feather Pin (see below). This award takes the form of a patch that attaches to the right pocket via a dangle. The patch says “Elangomat 8”, and has 12 spots for placing Red Feather pins (see below).

Red Feather Pin

The Red Feather Pin is given to elangomats for service in subsequent ordeals after their initial ordeal spent serving as an Elangomat. The award takes the form of a small pin in the shape of a red feather, which is pinned onto one of the 12 spots for these pins on the previously mentioned Elangomat Dangle.
